Summer Park Program
The summer park program is designed for children who could benefit from a
structured therapy program in a recreational setting. The park offers a variety of climbing equipment for strengthening, uneven surfaces for balance and coordination, and swings, slides, and sand for sensory input. Group activities, snack time and free play experiences are all used to facilitate turn taking, sportsmanship and peer interaction skills.
The children who participate in the summer park program are grouped according to similar developmental levels, to provide an excellent opportunity for play and peer-modeling. The park program takes place at the Stewart-McBride Park on Highway 11 in Racine. The children meet one time a week for 10 weeks, for 60-90 minutes (depending on the age of the child).
